Assistance with Applications: Support individuals in completing rental applications, accessing housing vouchers, and understanding lease agreements.
Financial Planning & Budgeting: Provide guidance on budgeting for rent, utilities, and related expenses, including identifying financial assistance programs.
Advocacy & Coordination: Work with property managers, service coordinators, and other stakeholders to address housing barriers and ensure a smooth transition into stable housing.
Training & Skills Development: Offer education on tenant rights and responsibilities, independent living skills, and home maintenance.
Personal Assistance (PA) services are designed to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve greater independence in daily living. These services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, in accordance with the DBHDS waiver guidelines, and are delivered in the individual’s home or community setting.
